Eaton Rapids 4th of July Parade

As is the tradition in Eaton Rapids, the 4th of July parade is going to be bigger and better than ever. With the rich history that the City has to offer.....this is the day that it is all showcased! Come join us as we celebrate our Nation's Birthday as well as the City's 175th Birthday. Watch for a special event during the parade!

Great Lakes Wings

Just before the parade kicks off, the precision motorcycle team Great Lakes Wings will perform in the 100 block of Main Street. This club is amazing with the manuevers and precision that they handle their bikes with! The City of Eaton Rapids is glad to have this as a new added tradition to the festivities!

4th of July Pie Eating Contest

Come see the Mayor defend his two year title against other dignitaries from the community. Will the Mayor remain the reigning Champ? Come and see.....but we think he is going DOWN this year!!!!!

Water Ball Competition

Come see the area Fire Departments battle out for the bragging rights of Water Ball Champion of Eaton Rapids! The fun is not just limited to them....put together your team and challenge another team, or the pros at this fun event.....be prepared to get soaked!

Glen Erin Pipe Band

The Glen Erin Pipe Band will again be in our 4th of July parade. They will also perform immediately after the parade on G.A.R. Island Park. The tradition continues with this wonderful group!

Pedal Tractor Pulls

This is a favorite with all the kids. There are various age levels with trophies and ribbons to the winners. Come see the tenacity that these little ones have to put on this wonderful event......and the smiles at the end.....PRICELESS!!!!

4th of July Craft Show

Watch as Hamlin St. fills with crafters from all over the area. Find that special something at the craft show for that hard-to-buy-for person on your Christmas list.....it's never to early to begin your Christmas Shopping list!

Live Music - All Day

Come out and enjoy the Live music after the parade. The music will go until just before the fireworks. We have various artists and styles planned.....so grab your chicken dinner, bring your lawn chair....and plan on staying awhile!

Letter from the Mayor

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to our new website dedicated to our 175th Anniversary celebration. There has been a tremendous amount of work put into making the festivities on the 4th of July truly memorable.

We hope that this website will be a benefit and help you find all the fun activites planned for all ages. There is a schedule at the top that you can download, print up and bring with you on the 4th of July so you don't miss anything.

We also have a map that shows where most of the events will be taking place. We have concentrated the activities from The Island Park, down Hamlin Ct, across Main St through Parking Lot 4, over the walking bridge to the Amphitheater and Howe Field. Everything culminating with a tremendous firework show at the High School Football Stadium.
